Lately, my interest in Photography has been rekindled. I've set up a pretty professional studio, with all digital Nikon-based equipment. I enjoy taking all kinds of pictures, but I'm better at "things" than "people". I try to combine my hobbies by travelling extensively on my bike, with my camera and computer on board.
I like to write and spend a lot of time in front of the computer. I've written most of my websites, coding in HTML and Javascript (a little!) from scratch. I've even done a few commercial websites for others. I've also published a book of photographs on my Newfoundland trip a couple of years ago and at this writing I'm working on my next one.
In 2003, I discovered I had thyroid cancer, which, it turns out, metastasized to a whole bunch of lymph nodes in my neck and chest. Surgery and a couple of rounds of radiation later, I seem to be OK, although the surgery caused a number of other health issues I'm still working through. Or maybe I'm just getting old! Anyway, I plan to keep on riding, and shooting pictures and writing for many years to come.
